**Key Responsibilities**
- **Customer service**: Provide excellent customer service while acting as a liaison between clients, carriers, shippers, and receivers, and educate customers about our transport solutions.
- **Sales**: Conduct research to identify potential customers, promote transportation services, engage in cold calling, generate new leads, prospect accounts, and close sales deals.
- **Negotiation**: Negotiate transportation contracts and rates with clients.
- **Research**: Researching customers and market freight rates
- **Communication**: Maintain clear communication with clients and prospects, providing timely and accurate information.
- **Relationship building**: Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, and cultivating long-term relationships
- **Issue management**: Proactively managing issues and providing solutions
- **Report Maintenance**: Keep accurate records and reports related to sales activities.
**Education and skills**
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in logistics, sales, or a related field is required.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present convincingly.
- Knowledge of current marketing, advertising trends, and best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
- Demonstrable business insight and a solid understanding of business sales processes.
- Good negotiation and problem-solving skills.
