**Job Summary**: The Art and Craft Teacher is responsible for fostering creativity and artistic skills in students by delivering engaging and effective lessons on a variety of visual art techniques and crafts. The teacher will encourage artistic expression, critical thinking, and the development of both fine motor skills and creative abilities in students.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Lesson Planning and Delivery**:

- Develop and implement lesson plans for art and craft activities that align with the curriculum.
- Teach a variety of art forms, including painting, drawing, sculpture, têxtile arts, and mixed media.
- Adapt lessons to cater to the needs and abilities of all students, including those with special needs.
- **Student Engagement and Development**:

- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creative expression.
- Provide individualized guidance and feedback to students to help them improve their artistic skills.
- Encourage students to experiment with different materials and techniques to discover their artistic interests.
- **Classroom Management**:

- Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment, ensuring all tools, materials, and equipment are handled properly.
- Manage student behavior and ensure a focused and respectful classroom setting.
- **Assessment and Evaluation**:

- Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback on their artwork.
- Grade assignments, projects, and participation based on creativity, effort, and skill development.
- Maintain records of student progress and provide reports to parents or guardians as needed.
- **Collaboration and Professional Development**:

- Collaborate with other teachers to integrate art into broader school projects and themes.
- Stay current with trends in the art world and educational methods by participating in workshops, conferences, and professional development opportunities.
- **Extracurricular Involvement**:

- Support the organization of art exhibitions, craft fairs, or student showcases.
- Lead after-school or weekend art clubs or workshops, if applicable.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Teaching certification (where applicable).
- Proven experience in teaching art and craft techniques to children or adolescents.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire creativity and develop a passion for art among students.
- Familiarity with art materials, tools, and safety procedures.
