Job Title: Senior Manager - Direct Taxation (Litigation Specialist)

Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:

- Independently handle all aspects of tax litigation under the Income Tax Act, including assessment proceedings, appeals, and other related matters.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of tax laws, precedents, and regulations to formulate effective legal strategies.
- Represent the organization before tax authorities, appellate tribunals, and other judicial forums during the course of tax disputes.
- Prepare and review legal documents, including petitions, appeals, replies, and submissions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, accounting, and legal teams, to gather necessary information and documentation for litigation purposes.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to management and other relevant departments on tax implications, risks, and compliance obligations.
- Keep abreast of changes in tax laws, regulations, and judicial pronouncements, and assess their potential impact on the organization.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external legal counsel, consultants, and advisors, as necessary, to support the organization's litigation objectives.
- Monitor and track the progress of ongoing litigation matters, ensuring timely resolution and effective case management.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for internal teams to enhance understanding of tax laws, procedures, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Law from a recognized institution; additional qualifications such as Chartered Accountancy or Master of Laws (LLM) in Taxation preferred.
- Minimum [X] years of relevant experience in direct taxation, with a focus on handling litigation matters under the Income Tax Act in India.
- Strong understanding of Indian tax laws, regulations, and procedural aspects, with demonstrated expertise in tax dispute resolution.
- Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex legal provisions and case laws.
- Proven experience in independently managing multiple litigation cases, from inception to resolution, with a track record of favorable outcomes.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities, with the confidence to present arguments persuasively before judicial authorities.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision, while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct in dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
- Membership in a recognized bar association or professional tax body would be an advantage.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: ₹80,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Performance bonus
- Yearly bonus
