**Role description**:

- **Database Management**:

- Administer, maintain, and optimize cloud-hosted databases such as AWS RDS, Azure SQL, and Oracle Cloud.
- Ensure high performance, availability, and security of databases.
- **PL/SQL Development**:

- **Cloud Integration**:

- Participate in cloud migration projects, ensuring seamless database integration and performance optimization in cloud environments.
- **Performance Tuning & Optimization**:

- Monitor and fine-tune database performance through indexing, query optimization, and resource management.
- Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks effectively.
- **Backup & Recovery**:

- Design and implement robust backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies for on-premises and cloud-hosted databases.
- **Security & Compliance**:

- Ensure databases adhere to security and compliance standards.
- Implement best practices for access control, encryption, and auditing.
- **Collaboration & Support**:

- Troubleshoot issues and ensure optimal database performance during deployments and operations.
- **Automation & Scripting**:

- Automate routine database tasks such as monitoring, backups, and deployments using scripts and cloud-native tools.
- **Capacity Planning & Monitoring**:

- Proactively monitor databases and cloud resources to identify growth trends, performance issues, and scalability needs.
- Recommend hardware and software upgrades as necessary.
- **Documentation & Reporting**:

- Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of database architecture, configurations, policies, and procedures.
- Provide regular reports on database health and performance metrics.
