**Roles and Responsibilities**

**Role**:
**To lead the Lighting system development for all projects, team development & coordination with cross functional teams.**

**Design lighting system and parts like headlamp, rear lamp, indictor lamps etc as per performance/ quality/ cost/ weight targets and plants manufacturing requirement.**

**Ensure compliance to regulatory norms.**

**RFQ generation, Vendor evaluation & Design review.**

**Coordinate with EEE teams to define interface requirement. Layout and packaging of parts in vehicle DMU from concept stage till finalize design,**

**considering all functionality, manufacturability, cost & styling intent.**

**Define performance and reliability test parameters, procedures for such parts.**

**Derive DVP and ensure compliance / completion.**

**Keep track of global trends in relevant technology, regulations and develop long term road maps and appropriate work plan**

**Benchmarking and generation of ideas for better performance, quality, cost, weight**

**Root cause analysis for quality issues, warranty cases using QC tools and countermeasure action**

**Define overall activity schedule for all projects, monitor the same periodically and ensure adherence to schedule.**
