Job Description: Senior Fashion Designer

Job Location: Surat (on-site)

Heart&Soul is a leading manufacturer of Indian ethnic wear, renowned for its quality craftsmanship and commitment to traditional design aesthetics. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Fashion Designer to join our team for creating innovative and high-quality saree collections that align with the brand's vision and cater to contemporary fashion trends.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conceptualize and design new saree collections, incorporating traditional and modern elements.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, fabrics, and techniques of designing.
- Create sketches and detailed technical drawings to communicate design ideas effectively.
- Select appropriate fabrics, colours, and embellishments (such as embroidery, sequins, and prints) to enhance the overall design.
- Lead and mentor the design team, providing guidance, feedback, and support throughout the design process.
- Present design concepts and collections to senior management and stakeholders for approval.
- Oversee the creation of prototypes, ensuring that designs are accurately translated into finished products.
- Conduct fittings and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal drape, fit, and quality of each saree.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to oversee production timelines and quality control

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Designing.
- A minimum of 4 -7 years of experience in fashion design, with at least 3 years specializing in sarees.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of saree designs and successful collections.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop.
- Excellent understanding of saree draping styles, garment construction, and traditional Indian têxtiles.
- Exceptional creativity, artistic ability, and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience in both traditional and contemporary saree designs.
- Knowledge of sustainable fashion practices and materials.
- Strong network within the saree industry.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Day shift

- Yearly bonus
