Arete Fashion is a fast-growing apparel company that designs, manufactures, and sells premium babywear and kidswear under brands like **The Boo Boo Club** and **Cocoon Care**. Our focus is on sustainable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing products that delight modern parents and kids alike.

**Role Overview**:
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented **Fashion Designer** who will be responsible for driving the entire product development cycle—from conceptualizing seasonal collections to collaborating with the merchandiser on sourcing, and working closely with the production team to bring designs to life within the planned timelines.

**Key Responsibilities:1. Collection Planning & Design Development**:

- Research global trends, market demands, and consumer insights to develop seasonally relevant collections.
- Conceptualize design themes, mood boards, and seasonal color palettes.
- Create detailed tech packs including silhouettes, trims, prints, embroidery, and construction details.
- Plan assortments by age group, category (tops, bottoms, nightwear, etc.), and end-use (casualwear, nightwear, etc.).

**2. Fabric & Trim Procurement Collaboration**:

- Work with the merchandiser and procurement team to source sustainable, functional, and cost-effective fabrics, trims, and prints.
- Coordinate with print vendors and mills to develop exclusive prints and fabric textures.
- Ensure timely approvals of strike-offs, lab dips, and fabric samples to maintain development timelines.

**3. Production Coordination**:

- Partner with the production team to translate designs into actual products.
- Oversee sample development, fit approvals, and quality checks.
- Manage pre-production timelines to ensure on-time bulk manufacturing.
- Troubleshoot production challenges and adapt designs if needed without compromising brand standards.

**4. Cross-Functional Communication**:

- Maintain strong coordination with merchandising, procurement, QA, and warehouse teams for seamless workflow.
- Ensure all product and design data are correctly maintained in the internal product development and inventory systems.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in apparel design (preferably in kidswear, babywear, or casualwear).
- Strong understanding of fabric types, garment construction, and trims.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, and/or other design software.
- Experience creating tech packs and working with garment manufacturers.
- Ability to manage multiple collections and projects under tight deadlines.
- Strong aesthetic sense with an eye for detail and functional design.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

**Bonus Skills (Preferred but not mandatory)**:

- Experience working with sustainable or organic fabrics like bamboo cotton, muslin, etc.
- Exposure to D2C brands and understanding of digital-first fashion strategies.
