In-house Designer

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented In-House Designer to join our dynamic team.

**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the preparation of detailed cost estimates for structural steel projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Analyze **IFB and IFC drawings, specifications, and other documentation** to prepare comprehensive estimates.
- Collaborate with the senior estimating team to develop and maintain a database of historical costs and project data.
- Review quotes from raw material suppliers to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
- Participate in project site visits (if required) and pre-bid meetings to gather necessary information for accurate estimating.
- Assist in the preparation of bid proposals, including the identification of potential risks and opportunities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, pricing, and best practices in structural steel estimating.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project scope and requirements.
- Support the senior estimating team with additional tasks as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in estimating, preferably in structural steel fabrication or construction.
- **Proficiency in** **reading Tender Packets and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications**.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Familiarity with estimating software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, Bluebeam, or similar).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- **ISC Certified - Familiar with ISC guidelines**
- Experience with structural steel projects.
- Knowledge of industry standards and practices.
- Familiarity with project management software.
