Job Name : Data Steward - Operations PURPOSE OF THE JOB Bekaert is leading transformation program to enhance the digital experience end-to-end that drive impact across multiple channels. Bekaert’s Operations are focusing to improve relative cost position & cash utilization in manufacturing and supply chain. At Bekaert, we cherish our (Master) Data and hence invest in effective Master Data Management and Data Governance practices to support us in achieving our digital ambitions. To establish a sustained enterprise wide (Master) Data Management and Data Governance approach in co-drive with functions and businesses, the Advanced Digital Solutions (ADS) organization will strengthen the capability with Data and Information Experts/Architects with a product group/domain focus. **Your role** As a Data Steward for Operations domain (oversees Master data management, data quality rules, and governance etc.), you represent business information and data by aligning with integrating strategic vision and roadmap for Operations, you will assure and drive in the process domain of Operations: - **Maximize value derived from data and analytics**: Foster value creation using the organization's data assets, as well as the external data ecosystem. This includes aiding value creation through data exploitation, envisioning data-enabled initiatives and strategies for data driven reporting and decision making. - **Enable effective data management and governance**: Deploy right (master) data management template and framework for various business segments and use the supporting data management tools. Support and assist in defining data processes, rules and data structure together with business, data owners and IT data team in developing master data governance and practices. - **Data migration **Support various data migration and implementation projects for Master data and other projects supporting data maintenance, change and clean-up of various data related to operations domain. Manage data lifecycle by maintaining and clarifying the relevant policies, automating, monitoring and actively managing the effectiveness of implementation and continuous improvement. - **Assist in data strategy**: Assist and support in preparing data road map with changing business dynamics and requirements, preparing sustainable data (master) model, standardize and simplify data maintenance process and align with digital road map of Bekaert Data journey. - **Data quality framework**:data is prime asset to company and with digital initiatives right and accurate data is key value in decision making. Supporting in data quality framework for the data improvement tools including but not restricted to data profiling, data standardization and harmonization, matching and linking, de-dupe and setting up data dictionaries for critical data domain and data monitoring. **Skills & Competencies** - Business domain knowledge, data/content and process understanding on Operations, including manufacturing, end to end supply chain, engineering, etc. - Good understanding of Manufacturing and Planning process in line with ERP system preferrably SAP for it’s data set-up (master data design), maintenance and support for those prcesses. ( SAP - PP & QM skills.) - Well conversant with manufacturing & planning master data such as, BOM, Recipe, Routing, Material classification and Variant Configuration in completx manufacturing enviprment for data capturing. - Proven experience of workign in data management (master) and governance function, with hand’s on working on any enterprise MDM tool, setting up Data rules and Data quality & framework. - Expertise in working on mass scale data creation/ update in SAP, working on data migration and data clean-up drives. - Effective conceptualization, pattern recognition and teaming skills. Experience in working with geographically distributed team, acting as data steward protecting data assets and interest of the organization in validating and governing the master data practices and processes. - Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations with resect to data designs and needs. **Education & Experience**: - Bachelor or Master degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent through experience in the process domain with demonstrated affinity for master data, data governance and/or analytics. - 10+ years of overall experience, 5+ years progressive work experience in a similar role related to the manufacturing industry and data modelling. - Experience of m
