**About the role**

**Your Impact **As a Data Steward for Operations domain which covers manufacturing, planning and quality master data, you will be responsible for stewardship role, analysing and understanding business requirements and their pain points related to master data connected with the business processes.
- **Maximize value derived from Master data analytics**: Understand data needs of business stakeholders coupled with process problems, identify the gaps and make necessary reporting to generate value using the organization's data assets, that satisfy reporting requirements and support faster decision making.
- **Enable effective data management and governance**: Govern each master data template for various business units with valid business rules and data framework. Support and assist in defining data processes, setting up data quality rules, and validating data structures. Work closely with different plant data admins to define right master data management practices.
- **Support Data migration **Support various data migration and implementation projects for mass maintenance activities of master data, validating data records, and ensure data quality in rollouts across various business units. Supporting periodic data maintenance, change and clean-up activities as needed.
- **Assist in data strategy**: Assist and support in preparing data road map with changing business dynamics and requirements, preparing sustainable data (master) model, standardize and simplify data maintenance process and align with digital road map of Bekaert Data journey.
- **Data quality framework**:Set and** **Support data quality framework for continuous improvement of master data quality of operations domain, analyse the impact of poor-quality data, and bring in improvement with help of tools and techniques in profiling, standardization and harmonization of the data. Set up single source of truth.

**About You**

**Essential skills & competencies**
- Business domain knowledge of manufacturing and quality process is must with data/content and process understanding in Operations, including manufacturing, end to end supply chain, engineering, etc.
- Good understanding of SAP Manufacturing and quality process, with in-depth understanding of underlying master data and it’s realtion to the business processes. SAP data design, maintenance and support master data objects in PP and QM module. ( SAP - PP & QM skills.)
- Well conversant with maintenance of manufacturing & planning master data such as, BOM, Recipe, Routing, classification, Process Instriction characteristics, and Variant Configuration in completx manufacturing environment set up.
- Proven experience of workign in data management (master) and governance function, with hand’s on working on any enterprise MDM tool, setting up Data rules and Data quality & framework.
- Expertise in working on mass scale data creation/ update in SAP, working on data migration and data clean-up drives, including working with LSMW.
- Effective conceptualization, pattern recognition and teaming skills. Experience in working with geographically distributed team, acting as data steward protecting data assets and interest of the organization in validating and governing the master data practices and processes.
- Experinece of working with object dependencies and variant configiration set-up in manufacturing domain will be added advantage.

**Education & Experience**:

- Bachelor or Master degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent through experience in the process domain with demonstrated affinity for master data, data governance and/or analytics.
- 7+ years of overall experience, 5+ years progressive work experience in a similar role related to the manufacturing industry and master data practices.
- Experience of manufacturing or supply chain
- Experience of workign with globally distributed teams and partners.
