Job Responsibilities

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Design and development of reliable, flexible, scalable and responsive Manufacturing Applications and related complex solutions which are aligned with the global delivery strategy.
- Combines complex technical and business matters.
- Works closely with various levels of management, process owner, Business Relationship managers, Business Analysts and Key users to identify and document requirements
- Specify requirements (Blue Print), plan, customize and configure business systems to ensure the system is meeting business needs
- Conducts feasibility studies and draft proposals for evaluation by appropriate users and managers
- Supports more than one highly complex business and technical processes, requiring design or integration of technical solutions that may cross multiple functions of the business.
- Recommend technical improvements and solutions which would improve business efficiency, quality and/or process while maximizing business systems functionality
- Reviews and approves test plans

**Project Management Responsibilities (for assigned IT projects)**
- Ensure assigned projects are completed on time within the approved budget and above customer expectations
- Work with other IT department members (Westlake and Vinnolit) to document SAP and related functional architecture, to test and assist in the development and execution of the functional and acceptance test plans.
- Trains and transfers knowledge to all project members

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or other related field. Master degree will be preferred
- Requires leadership skills, experience/in-depth knowledge of business operations and systems requirements processes
- Excellent understanding of more than one key business processes and related regulation requirements in an international environment
- Excellent understanding of IT architecture and technologies and Distributed Control Systems as well
- High proficiency in programming with any common language (.Net, PHP) and knowledge of software development methodology. Additional programming languages of advantage
- Good Project management experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - must be able to translate technical concepts into non-technical terms for both senior level management and frontline staff.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills and ability to frame issues clearly for less technical colleagues and customers.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Demonstrates initiative, taking prompt action to identify issues/opportunities and accomplish objectives, going beyond what is required and/or expected.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and German.
