CEPH Admin

This role has been designated as ‘Edge’, which means you will primarily work outside of an HPE office.

**Job Description**:
**Experience**:

- Minimum 3 years of experience in any storage technology.
- Relevant Certifications will be an added advantage.

Good to have
- Development and testing new features and versions of CEPH
- Development of automations to improve efficiency and quality of the CEPH
- Experience in test driven development CI/CD pipelines and Python
- Advanced experience in Linux administration and large setups
- Advanced hands-on knowledge in at least some of the solutions used in the cloud platforms such as OpenStack and CEPH
- Advanced Experience in automation tools like Ansible, Puppet and Terraform
- Experience on Kubernetes is appreciated

Technical Skills:

- Previous experience setting up, configuring, and deploying Ceph storage systems
- Deployment knowledge by using rook ceph, openstack helm on top of kubernetes.
- Strong knowledge of k8s and specially setting up pv and pvc backed by ceph
- Strong knowledge of openstack projects like cinder and glance, specially integrating ceph as backend.
- Strong experience in scripting (Python/Bash/helm/etc)
- Familiarity with automation tools (Puppet/Ansible/Chef/etc)
- Virtualization and container technologies (KVM/VMWare/Docker/OpenStack/kubernetes)
- Fluent in Linux (CentOS/Debian/Ubuntu/suse)
- Networking troubleshooting
- Experience in IaaS adoption in a non-virtualized legacy environment
- Designing, implementing and deploying continuous build/deployment frameworks
