**Business/Department Objectives**:
The primary objective of this team is to provide L2 support on all compliance matters related to EMEA Trade and Expert guidance on technical aspects of Trade products based on ICC rules and guidelines.

The team provides first level disposition for referrals on Anti Money Laundering and Compliance, based on standard operating procedures, Citigroup policies, In country + US regulations.

The below Job description is primary role but this job will also include any specific Projects/Compliance related Activities that need to be undertaken by the team/Audits and activities as required from the Branches with relation to compliance.

**Responsibilities**

**Operational**:

- Extending professional guidance to the Operation Teams, Relationship Team, Product Team. on technical aspects of Trade products that includes Letters of Credit, Documentary Collections, Bank to Bank Reimbursements, Guarantees, Standby Letters of Credit etc. based on the relevant ICC publications (UCP-600, URC-522, URR-725, ISP-98, URDG-758 etc.).
- To be cognizant of clients requirements and aiding in structuring the complex Trade transactions thereby ensuring adequate risk coverage for the parties involved.
- To ensure any risk or receivable items are managed by providing appropriate solutions for settlement basis the ICC guidelines. Investigate and provide dispositions (or duly escalate wherever applicable) on Anti Money Laundering and Compliance referrals based on standard operating procedures, Citigroup policies, In country + US regulations
- Perform Managers Control Assessment for Western Europe and UAE region.
- Regulatory reporting - Quarterly Boycott Report submitted to NAM Compliance.
- Duly recording and reporting the transactions rejected due to AML / Compliance concerns to the relevant teams.
- In-depth analysis on structured deals and/or new product offerings, highlighting the risks involved along with the feasible solutions.
- To support the management towards implementation of various projects in trade operations as and when required.

**Training**:

- To develop and rollout internal training for operations team in EMEA Region on AML, Compliance and Trade specific topics to aid awareness and understanding.
- To structure and deliver Trade specific Training to external clients of EMEA region as per their requirement..
- Planning and Executing structured training thereby facilitating Trade staffs of EMEA branch and processing hub in acquiring professional qualification such as The Certified Documentary Credit Specialists (CDCS), Certificate for Specialists in Demand Guarantees (CSDG) that are recognized worldwide as a benchmark of competence for international trade practitioners.
