**Position Summary**:
The Director of Nursing Services (DNS) provides strategic leadership and executive oversight for all nursing functions. This role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of patient care, fostering a professional environment for staff, and driving clinical and operational excellence.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for the entire nursing department.
- Develop and manage the nursing budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility.
- Establish and enforce nursing standards, policies, and procedures in compliance with regulatory agencies.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety, satisfaction, and outcomes.
- Oversee Nurse Managers and ensure adequate staffing across all units.
- Mentor, develop, and retain top nursing talent.
- Represent the nursing department at executive leadership meetings.
**Qualifications**:
- **Required**: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- **Required**: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field strongly preferred.
- **Required**: 3+ years of Nursing Supervising Experience
- Proven track record in improving patient quality and safety metrics.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing a department budget.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and strategic planning skills.
