Avp - Cloud Container Operations (L11)

**Job Description**:
**Role Summary/Purpose**:
This position is remote, where you have the option to work from home. On occasion we may request for you to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events. **Essential Responsibilities**:

- Build large scale high performing Secure Kubernetes that meet SYF business requirements to deliver business value
- Implement continuous integration and continuous delivery processes for end-to-end container management, fostering a culture of continuous process improvement
- Collect and provide sound feedback from all teams to be used as guidance for Containerization Program improvement and optimizations.
- Perform Technology Alternate Assessment, create Proof-of-Concept (as necessary), Provides guidance and direction to other teams to ensure compliance with the standards and best practices.
- First escalation point of contact for run teams - primarily during India hours (off US shift timings)
- Work collaboratively with Product Management and Application teams during development, launch and continuing refinement of technology offerings.
- Organize and participate in design workshops and modeling of tactical architectures for delivery, development, and support of projects
- Collaborate with internal technical resources and third-party vendors in technical troubleshooting, root cause analysis and remediation efforts
- Continuously learn and be at the leading edge of Cloud practices and industry trends
- Work with team members to consult, architect and implement solutions across geographic locations
- Create, assess, update and maintain documentation pertaining to Products and Frameworks
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

**Qualifications/Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree with minimum 7 years of experience in Information Technology in a hands on technical role OR in lieu of the Bachelor's degree minimum 9 years of experience in Information Technology in a hands on technical role
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in Agile Practices, Application Modernization, Cloud-Native Microservices and Container Technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry)
- Minimum 1+ years of experience working on leading development and managing large Enterprise platforms.
- Minimum 1+ years of experience with Kubernetes Platforms like Amazon EKS, Google GKE, Microsoft AKS, RedHat Openshift, VMware TKGI etc.

**Desired Characteristics**:

- Recent experience with design, implementation and operation of Container Orchestration (Kubernetes, TKGI, AWS EKS)
- DevOps expertise using platforms and tools like Jenkins, Git, Concourse etc.
- Good understanding of CI/CD concepts
- Experience in Kubernetes APIs, Manifests, Security and Management
- Experience in managing Kubernetes clusters, building and deploying Docker images and Container Observability and Troubleshooting
- Agile Methodology expertise
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated technical leadership in multi-cultural environments
- Must be a self-starter, ability to quickly learn, adapt, shows initiative and thinks outside the box
