Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement security controls for containerized applications and orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, OpenShift).
  • Perform threat modeling and risk assessments for container environments.
  • Integrate security tools into CI/CD pipelines to enforce container image scanning and policy compliance.
  • Monitor container runtime environments for anomalous behavior and potential threats.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud, and Security teams to ensure secure container lifecycle management.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and remediation of container images and registries.
  • Develop and maintain security baselines and hardening guidelines for container platforms.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong understanding of container technologies: Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, Helm.
  • Experience with container security tools: Aqua Security, Prisma Cloud, Sysdig, Anchore, Trivy, etc.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes RBAC, Network Policies, Secrets Management, and Pod Security Standards.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their container services (EKS, AKS, GKE).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Go) for automation and tooling.
  • Understanding of DevSecOps principles and CI/CD integration (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
  • Experience with vulnerability management and compliance frameworks (CIS Benchmarks, NIST, ISO

Preferred Certifications:

  • Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS)
  • Docker Certified Associate
  • AWS Certified Security Specialty / Azure Security Engineer Associate
  • GIAC Cloud Security Automation (GCSA)
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
