**Key Responsibilities**:

- **CNC Machine Operation**:

- Set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes, mills, and routers, according to specifications.
- Programming and set up CNC to complete new product/different functions
- Load raw materials into the machine and monitor machining operations.
- Adjust machine settings to ensure optimal performance and quality output.
- **Programming and Troubleshooting**:

- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to create machining programs.
- Program CNC machines using G-code and other CNC programming languages.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machining processes and equipment.
- Post edit CNC programme to “fine tune” process for optimum performance
- **Quality Assurance**:

- Perform dimensional inspections using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and CMMs.
- Observe machine operation to verify accuracy of machine settings and to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, using precision measuring instruments such as micrometer and dial caliper.
- Ensure that finished parts meet quality and design specifications.
- Identify and address defects or deviations from tolerances promptly.
- Verify “first piece inspection” using appropriate measuring instruments
- **Maintenance and Safety**:

- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and report any major issues.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following workplace safety standards.
- **Collaboration and Documentation**:

- Work closely with engineers, programmers, and quality control teams to ensure successful project completion.
- Maintain accurate records of machining operations, tools used, and maintenance activities.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; a technical degree or certification in CNC machining is preferred.
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, with expertise in operating and programming CNC machines.
- Proficiency in G-code, CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360), and CAD tools.
- Strong knowledge of machining techniques, materials, and tooling.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Familiarity with precision measuring tools and quality control processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience with multi-axis CNC machines and advanced machining techniques.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
- Understanding of advanced materials such as composites or exotic metals.
