Tally operator is required to understand and use various features of the software to accurately capture data as per the requirements and generate corresponding reports, thereby facilitating decision-making in organizations. Tasks of a Tally operator include, but are not limited to:

- Entering financial/accounting data into the Tally software
- Sales/ Purchase Entries
- Assisting Accounts Department in daily tasks
- Troubleshooting Tally systems
- Identifying and rectifying errors in data entry
