**Experience Range**:

- Min 3 - 5 Years of coaching experience preferably at State or National camps, reputed badminton academies, University, college or school teams.

**Essential Qualification**:

- Bachelor’s Degree (mandatory) in Physical Education, Sports Sciences, or a related field.
- Master’s Degree (preferred) in Physical Education (M.P.Ed.) or Sports Coaching from recognized universities such as LNIPE (Gwalior), NIS Patiala, or similar institutions.
- Registered with Badminton Association of India (BAI) or respective state association.
- Recognition by SAI, AIU, or UGC-approved bodies for eligibility in government or university posts.
- BWF Level 1 or above Coaching Certification.
- Diploma in Sports Coaching (Badminton) from NIS, Patiala or equivalent.

**Desired Qualification**:

- Proven playing experience at state or national level.
- Minimum 3 years of coaching experience at institutional or competitive level.
- Strong understanding of training periodization, match strategies, and modern badminton techniques.
- Fluency in Hindi and English.

**Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Design and implement training programs focused on skill development, tactics, fitness, and psychological conditioning.
- Prepare the university team for AIU tournaments, inter-collegiate, state, and national competitions.
- Conduct regular team selection trials, performance assessments, and feedback sessions.
- Collaborate with the Dept. of PE and academics office to balance students’ sports and academic commitments.
- Ensure player safety, injury prevention, and coordinate with medical staff for rehabilitation when needed.
- Scout for and mentor promising talent from within the university or through feeder programs.
- Promote sportsmanship, discipline, and integrity on and off the court.

**Key Skills (mandatory)**:

- Deep understanding of technical and tactical training, player development programs, fitness, nutrition and injury prevention; psychological aspects of performance.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring women athletes, with sensitivity to their specific physical, psychological, and social needs in a competitive sports environment.
- Ability to plan seasonal training cycles and competitive schedules.
- Communication and motivational skills.
- Experience with student-athlete management.
