**Job Title: Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory Technician / Associate**

**Department: Molecular Diagnostics**

**Shift - Night Time - 8 PM - 8 AM**

Qualification: M.Sc. in Biotechnology or Microbiology

Experience:2 to 2.5 years of hands-on experience in a Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory

Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
Perform DNA and RNA extraction from blood and various biological specimens

Conduct Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) and Real-Time PCR (RT-PCR) assays

Carry out gel electrophoresis for analysis of nucleic acids

Maintain proper documentation and records of all experimental procedures and results

Follow established protocols and ensure quality control throughout the diagnostic process

Assist in troubleshooting and optimizing molecular assays

Ensure compliance with laboratory safety and quality standards

Basic Skills Required:
Accurate micropipetting handling, DNA/RNA extraction on automation and Manual methods

Conventional PCR and Real-Time PCR (RT-PCR)

Agarose Gel electrophoresis

Understanding of molecular diagnostic workflows

Attention to detail and ability to follow protocols precisely

Strong organizational and documentation skills

Preferred Attributes:
Good communication and team collaboration skills

Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS)

Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques
