Job Title: Technician - Loading Bay Equipment and Doors

Job Summary: This role combines supervisory responsibilities with hands-on technical work, including the supervision of installation projects, to ensure optimal functionality and safety standards. The Technician will oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of loading bay equipment and doors within warehouses and hangars.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervision:

- Supervise the installation of loading bay equipment and door systems, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors during installation projects to ensure timely and effective execution.
- Lead and manage maintenance contract.
- Schedule and assign daily tasks, ensuring efficient workflow.
- Conduct training and development for team members on equipment operation and safety protocols.
- Monitor performance and provide feedback for improvement.
- Technical Duties:

- Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs on loading bay equipment, including dock levelers, door systems, and conveyors.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintenance standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory.
- Safety & Compliance:

- Enforce safety policies and procedures to minimize workplace hazards.
- Conduct safety audits and risk assessments related to equipment operation.
- Ensure that all equipment is compliant with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaboration:

- Coordinate with warehouse operations to ensure timely loading and unloading processes or the maintenance work
- Liaise with external vendors and service providers for specialized maintenance as needed.

Qualifications:

- Education:

- Bachelors or equivalent; technical certification in mechanical or electrical engineering is preferred.
- Experience:

- Minimum of 2 years experience in maintenance and repair of loading bay equipment and doors.
- Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
- Skills:

- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software.
- Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift heavy equipment and perform physical tasks.
- Willingness to work in various environments, including warehouses and outdoor settings.

Working Conditions:

- May require working outside of regular hours, including weekends and holidays, based on operational needs.

Schedule:

- Day shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Mumbai, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
