The Data Solutions group at Chegg is a central team that enables data driven decision making at Chegg - we partner with Product, Analytics and Engineering to make our data platform resilient, impactful and easy to use. We are a team of analysts and engineers that functions as part of the larger data organization at Chegg that focuses on enabling data and insights at scale. We use a world-class set of instrumentation, analysis and data science technology to discover, standardize and transform raw data into sensible, governed data structures that enable efficient analytics. While the analytics group is centralized, we heavily partner with our stakeholders to ensure insights delivered are directly usable for decision making and ultimately adds value to Chegg. The role

We are looking for a Senior Data Solutions Analyst to partner with our Product, Analytics and Engineering peers to make Chegg’s data platform hum. Key to this role is having the curiosity, creativity and technical skills to evaluate data structures across systems and identify solutions that standardize definitions and enable modularized transformations. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse set of peers and stakeholders to understand Chegg’s data strategy and set up end to end analytical capabilities to help product and analytics measure impact of key business initiatives. Over time, you will be viewed as the expert who understands how data materializes and flows through Chegg’s systems, and how data-generating events should be engineered to deliver quality data for downstream processing and analysis.

**Responsibilities**:

- Build solutions to enable more resilient data systems and easy-to-use access points
- Investigate event data and engineering releases to identify the root cause of data issues while working with Marketing Technology and Engineering to find and implement solutions
- Define and build user-level data attributes in the Customer Data Platform by gathering attribute requirements from analytics, interviewing data producers to understand the source data and architecting data transformations on that source data to meet attribute requirements efficiently and scalably
- Build data monitoring solutions to automatically catch and alert on data issues that may distort performance insight
- Identify, propose and build solutions to enable more resilient data systems and easy-to-use access points

**Requirements**:

- 3-5 years of demonstrated success in analytics or engineering role
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g. engineering, sciences, math, statistics, business or economics) required. Master’s degree in a quantitative field preferred
- Top-decile data wrangling skills; strength in SQL, R, Python for data analysis, modelling and visualization
- Practioner’s experience working with Spark. Experience with Databricks preferred
- Able to communicate clearly, especially with written documentation
- Proficiency in web analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics or others.
- Self-motivated, independent, organized and proactive, highly responsive, flexible and adaptable when working across multiple teams
- Passionate about producing high-quality data products and communicating recommendations effectively to a broad audience
- Ability to prioritize and deliver within a fast-paced, dynamic environment
