We are looking for a SDET with extensive experience in automation development, strategic, and mentorship skills to be part of our dynamic and growing MTS- SDET Team. Our MTS-SDET team is tasked with test planning, test design, and test case development to assess and improve the overall quality of our products. You must have experience testing a 'systems' product (file systems, storage systems, databases, operating systems, hypervisors, or networking). The ability to think 'outside the box' is crucial in designing test cases to adequately and quickly assess the integrity of the product.

**Your Role**:

- Conducting requirements and design reviews of new features
- Designing high level test approaches, strategies and testplan.
- Building libraries and utilities to help with writing test suited for the test framework
- Executing automated and manual tests during product testing phases to find all bugs in your assigned feature area(s)
- Working closely with the Development team to analyze and find root cause of failures
- Integrate automation with Jenkins.
- Filing defects and tracking them to closure.

**What You'll bring**:

- Experience in test plan design and test case development for complex software projects.
- Experience in developing automated tests in Python programming language. QA Automation Framework development experience is plus.
- Experience in testing a “systems” product (file systems, storage systems, databases, operating systems, hypervisors, or networking).
- Experience in QEMU and Libvirt (KVM).
- Experience in Distributed Storage is plus.
- Systems administration experience in UNIX, preferably Linux is plus.
- Understanding of file system concepts and protocols such as: networked filesystems, logical volumes, journaled filesystems, tiered storage, S3, NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, and LUNs.
- Experience using virtualization technologies such as KVM, VMware, Hyper-V, or Xen.
- Ability to leverage open-source tools for test development and execution.
- Excellent problem-solving skills: Ability to devise solutions when confronted with a less than ideal environment.

**Desirable Requirement**:

- Experience in testing virtualization platforms.
- Experience in testing clustered/distributed systems.
- Experience using and administering projects in a continuous integration framework such as Jenkins/Hudson/CircleCI.
- BS or MS in Computer Science or related field is required.
- Minimum of 5 or more years of Software SDET experience.
