Job Summary:
As a Lathe Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining lathe machines to produce high-quality precision parts and components. Your role will involve setting up machines, loading materials, monitoring operations, and ensuring the final products meet our stringent quality standards. Attention to detail and a commitment to safety are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

- Machine Setup: Set up and adjust lathe machines according to specifications, including installing tools, fixtures, and workpieces.
- Operation: Operate manual and CNC lathes to produce parts and components as per engineering drawings and specifications.
- Quality Control: Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet required tolerances and quality standards using precision measuring instruments.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and troubleshooting minor issues to ensure optimal performance.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production data, including machine settings, production counts, and any defects or issues encountered.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment and prevent accidents.
- Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.

Qualifications:

- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training or certification in machining or related field is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience as a lathe machine operator or in a similar role is preferred.
- Skills:

- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with precision measuring tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work in a noisy and potentially dusty environment.
