Job description

We are looking for a skilled **Buffing Machine Operator** to operate and maintain buffing and polishing equipment. The role involves working with various materials to achieve desired surface finishes on components and products as per quality standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate buffing/polishing machines to smooth and finish surfaces of metal, plastic, or other components
- Select appropriate buffing wheels, compounds, and tools based on material and finish requirement
- Inspect workpieces before and after buffing to ensure quality and consistency
- Perform minor maintenance and cleaning of buffing equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Adhere to production schedules and meet output targets without compromising on quality
- Follow safety guidelines and wear proper PPE (personal protective equipment) at all times
- Maintain records of daily production and report defects or machine issues to the supervisor
- Assist with loading and unloading parts to and from the machine
- Collaborate with quality and maintenance teams as needed
- Proven experience as a buffing or polishing machine operator
- Good understanding of surface finishing processes and quality standards
- Ability to handle tools, equipment, and materials with care and precision
- Physically fit and able to stand for long hours in a production environment
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures and machine operation
- Willingness to work in shifts, if required

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or Fitter trades (or relevant work experience)
- Prior experience in [automotive/metal fabrication/plastic molding/etc.] industries
- Knowledge of quality inspection tools (micrometer, caliper, etc.) is a plus

Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹29,376.91 per month
