Job description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Buffing Machine Operator responsible for performing metal surface finishing operations using buffing and polishing machines. The ideal candidate should have experience in surface finishing and an eye for detail to deliver quality finishes on metal components.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate buffing and polishing machines to finish metal parts to required surface quality.

Select appropriate buffing wheels, compounds, and settings for various materials and finishes.

Inspect workpieces for defects before and after the buffing process.

Maintain consistent quality standards by adjusting pressure, speed, and angle during operations.

Clean and prepare surfaces for polishing, removing weld marks, rust, burrs, or scratches.

Safely handle and move components to and from the buffing station.

Keep the work area and equipment clean and well-maintained.

Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Report defects, damages, or machine issues to the supervisor promptly.

Record production details and report completed work daily

Requirements:

Minimum 10th Pass / ITI / Vocational training in Mechanical or relevant trade.

Hands-on experience operating buffing or polishing machines.

Experience with metals like stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel.

Physically fit to handle manual and repetitive tasks.

Awareness of workplace safety and usage of protective gear.

Ability to work in dusty or noisy environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with different types of polishing compounds and abrasives.

Experience in surface finishing in manufacturing or metal fabrication industries.

Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality output.

Willingness to work in shifts and overtime when required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000- ₹30,000 per month
