Job Summary:
The Medical Lab Technician is responsible for performing various laboratory tests, analyses, and procedures to assist healthcare professionals in diagnosing, treating, and preventing diseases. This role involves accurately conducting tests, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring compliance with established laboratory protocols and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform a wide range of laboratory tests on patient samples, including blood, urine, tissue, and other bodily fluids, following established procedures and protocols.

Prepare specimens for analysis, ensuring proper labeling, handling, and storage to maintain sample integrity.

Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as microscopes, cell counters, spectrophotometers, and centrifuges, ensuring accuracy and proper functioning.

Calibrate and standardize laboratory instruments according to manufacturer guidelines and quality control procedures.

Analyze test results and interpret findings, accurately documenting and reporting outcomes to healthcare providers.

Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and pathologists, to provide accurate and timely laboratory information for patient care.

Monitor and maintain inventory levels of laboratory supplies and reagents, ensuring adequate stock for testing needs.

Follow established safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure a safe working environment and minimize risks associated with handling biohazardous materials.

Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities, including proficiency testing and equipment maintenance, to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.

Assist in the development and implementation of new testing methods, protocols, and procedures as required.

Maintain accurate and organized laboratory records, including test results, quality control data, and instrument maintenance logs.

Keep up-to-date with advancements in laboratory technology and techniques through continuous education and professional development.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) from an accredited program or agency.

Strong understanding of laboratory testing principles, procedures, and equipment.

Proficiency in using laboratory information systems (LIS) and other relevant software.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in performing tests and recording results.

Effective communication skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals and document findings.

Ability to work independently and within a team, managing multiple tasks and priorities.

Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and infection control procedures.

Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move heavy objects, and handle biohazardous materials.

Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

**Salary**: ₹9,820.54 - ₹30,000.00 per month
