PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

Non ABAP Assembly Services (NAAS) team, part of the Production Services unit, is an integral area of

PE Enterprise Adoption, handling DevOps, assembly/build & release Area, code signing and shipment of artifacts to Client customers on all shipment models like on-premise, on-cloud, on-device.

The NON-ABAP Assembly team enable various development teams on CI/CD pipelines to ensure best in class DevOps and development practices across. To support this journey, well established DevOps principles are a must.

Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, a core area of the DevOps paradigm, enables developers to manage their entire development environment, testing scenarios, deployment landscapes on SCP, thus enabling quick shipment to customers with high quality, transparency and confidence.

We also provide Consulting for development teams regarding assembly and delivery processes in On-premise.

You will work closely together with Development, Quality management, Central infrastructure and Validation teams, gaining a strong network within the organization and will be involved in the complete lifecycle

On the technical front your work will include Assembly: starting from the setup of the software builds, hand-over from development, and operational tasks of builds and creation of software media.

You will be responsible for consistent and realistic production plans (drive problem resolution, perform risk assessment and handle escalations) and coordination with different Client stakeholders.
- EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIESWORK EXPERIENCE
- Knowledge in Release management or Software Production processes
- Knowledge of Schedulers like Jenkins etc.
- Knowledge of any source code management system like Perforce, Git, etc
- Knowledge of shell scripting and other languages like Groovy, Python etc. is preferable.
- Strong in Analytical thinking and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work with the team in the design and development aspects for the product
- 2-5 years of experience in a similar role
