**Job Purpose**:
The Commi III assists in the preparation and cooking of dishes, ensuring that the highest standards of food quality and hygiene are maintained. This role involves supporting the kitchen team by preparing ingredients, assisting in cooking, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Food Preparation**:

- Assist in the preparation of ingredients as directed by the senior chefs (e.g., chopping vegetables, marinating meats, preparing sauces).
- Follow recipes and cooking instructions carefully to ensure consistency and quality.
- Prepare simple dishes under supervision, such as salads, appetizers, and basic mains.
- **Cooking Support**:

- Support the cooking process by gathering ingredients, operating kitchen equipment, and assisting in plating dishes.
- Monitor food items while cooking, ensuring proper techniques are applied and food safety standards are met.
- **Kitchen Hygiene and Safety**:

- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all kitchen areas, including workstations, storage, and refrigeration units.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of food items.
- Assist in cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces as needed.
- **Stock Management**:

- Assist in the receipt, storage, and inventory of kitchen supplies and ingredients.
- Report low stock levels or any issues with ingredients to the supervising chef.
- **Team Collaboration**:

- Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Participate in daily kitchen briefings and communicate effectively with colleagues.
- **Learning and Development**:

- Take initiative to learn and develop culinary skills, techniques, and knowledge.
- Seek guidance and feedback from senior chefs to improve performance.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic culinary training or experience in a kitchen environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.

**Work Environment**:

- The role involves working in a hot, humid, and fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on the establishment's hours of operation.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying heavy items.
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination for chopping, slicing, and cooking tasks.
