Job Title: Civil Engineer
- Commercial Interior Fit-out Department: Construction/Project Management

Reports To: [Construction Manager]
- Prepare and review detailed civil engineering drawings and specifications for interior fit-out projects, including but not limited to:

- Floor plans
- Sections
- Details
- Structural calculations (for minor alterations)
- Drainage and plumbing layouts (coordination with MEP engineers)
- Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine existing conditions and identify potential challenges.
- Develop and manage project schedules and budgets related to civil engineering aspects.
- Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of various disciplines.
- Perform quality control checks on materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with specifications and building codes.
- Resolve any civil engineering-related issues that arise during the construction process.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Prepare and submit necessary documentation for permits and approvals.
- Assist in the preparation of tender documents and evaluating contractor bids.
- Maintain accurate records of all civil engineering-related activities.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors involved in civil works.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and identify any potential problems.
- Contribute to the development of innovative and cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 5 years of experience in commercial interior fit-out projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software.
- Strong understanding of building codes and regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license (if required for site visits).

Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with specific interior construction materials (e.g., raised access flooring, suspended ceilings).
- Experience with sustainable building practices.
- LEED AP certification (or similar).
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
