**Job Summary**:
The CT Technician is responsible for operating computed tomography (CT) scanners to obtain high-quality diagnostic images. The role involves preparing patients, conducting scans, maintaining equipment, and assisting radiologists in image interpretation.
**Key Roles & Responsibilities**:
- Operate CT scan equipment and ensure proper imaging protocols.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly.
- Administer contrast materials under supervision and observe for any reactions.
- Capture cross-sectional images of the body as prescribed by the physician or radiologist.
- Ensure image clarity, accuracy, and timely delivery of scan results.
- Maintain patient records and document procedure details.
- Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and infection control standards.
- Perform regular equipment checks and coordinate maintenance when needed.
- Support emergency imaging needs during trauma or critical cases.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other medical professionals for case-specific requirements.
**Qualifications**:
- Diploma or Degree in Radiologic Technology
- CT certification preferred (if applicable as per regional guidelines)
- Valid license/registration (if applicable)
**Experience**:
- 1-3 years of experience in CT scanning (freshers may also be considered)
**Skills Required**:
- Proficient in operating CT machines and imaging software
- Knowledge of anatomy and cross-sectional imaging
- Strong patient care and communication skills
- Attention to detail and technical precision
- Ability to handle emergency imaging procedures
