Pre-Primary Homeroom & English Teacher

**Job Summary**

We are looking for a passionate and nurturing Pre-Primary Homeroom Teacher with a specialization in English to foster a safe, creative, and engaging learning environment for young learners. The teacher will be responsible for holistic child development through play-based and inquiry-led approaches, with a strong focus on early literacy.

**Key ResponsibilitiesHomeroom Duties**:

- Provide a warm, caring, and stimulating classroom environment that supports each child’s individual developmental needs.
- Establish and maintain daily routines that promote security and consistency.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
- Track and support students’ social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Communicate regularly with parents through updates, meetings, and reports.

**English Instruction**:

- Plan and implement age-appropriate English lessons that develop foundational language and literacy skills.
- Introduce phonics, storytelling, songs, rhymes, and pre-reading activities.
- Use a variety of teaching aids and strategies (visuals, games, puppetry, etc.) to engage early learners.
- Assess and document language development and tailor instruction accordingly.

**Curriculum & Assessment**:

- Deliver the curriculum in alignment with school philosophy (e.g., play-based, inquiry-led, Montessori, or IB PYP).
- Observe, assess, and document children’s progress using portfolios, checklists, and anecdotal records.
- Contribute to planning meetings and collaborative curriculum reviews.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education / English / Education or related field.
- Formal teacher training or certification (e.g., ECCE, B.Ed., Montessori, or IB PYP preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in teaching early years (preferably in an international or progressive setting).
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and classroom management skills.
- Familiarity with play-based, student-centered learning methodologies.
- Empathy, patience, creativity, and a child-friendly approach.

**Desirable Attributes**
- Experience working in multicultural/international settings.
- Exposure to structured programs like Jolly Phonics, Oxford Reading Tree, or Letterland.
- ICT-literate and able to integrate technology into the classroom meaningfully.
- Continuous learner with a growth mindset.

Pay: ₹11,066.73 - ₹25,569.73 per month
