Job Title: SQL Server DBA (Mid to Senior Level)

**Location**: Bangalore (preferred) / Frequent travel to Bangalore (one week per month)

**Job Type**: Full-Time

**Experience Level**: Mid to Senior Level (6 to 10 years)

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases to ensure high availability and performance.
- Perform regular database backups, recovery processes, and performance tuning.
- Design and implement database structures, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Develop, review, and maintain database standards, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct database migrations and upgrades as needed.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot database-related issues promptly.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database configurations and processes.

**Technical Expertise Required**:

- Proven hands-on experience as a SQL Server DBA and other databases.
- Strong knowledge of database administration, including performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
- Extensive experience with data modeling techniques and tools.
- Familiarity with SQL Server replication, clustering, and Always-On availability groups.
- Proficient in T-SQL scripting and automation of administrative tasks.
- Understanding of database security concepts and implementation.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience with database monitoring tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with cloud-based database services is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

**Soft Skills**:

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Team-oriented with a proactive and self-motivated attitude.

**Experience**:

- total work: 5 years (preferred)
- Server Database Administrator: 5 years (preferred)
- T-SQL scripting: 4 years (preferred)
