**Job Title**: Insurance Coordinator
**Job Summary**:
The Insurance Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all insurance-related activities in the hospital, including verifying patient coverage, securing pre-authorizations, and ensuring accurate and timely claims submission. This role acts as a bridge between patients, hospital departments, and insurance providers to ensure smooth reimbursement processes and compliance with hospital policies and payer requirements.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to admission, procedures, or services.
- Obtain prior authorizations, pre-certifications, and referrals for inpatient and outpatient services.
- Accurately prepare, review, and submit hospital insurance claims in compliance with payer regulations.
- Track and follow up on pending claims, denials, and rejections to ensure timely resolution.
- Communicate with patients to explain insurance coverage, co-payments, and financial responsibilities.
- Coordinate with hospital billing, admissions, and clinical departments to ensure accurate documentation for claims.
- Assist in audits and maintain detailed records of insurance correspondence and claim outcomes.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with insurance representatives to resolve issues efficiently.
- Provide periodic reports to hospital management on claim status, denial trends, and reimbursement performance.
Minimum5-10 years of experience in hospital insurance coordination, medical billing, or revenue cycle
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with patients and staff.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced hospital environment.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
