Sandvik’s Regional Sourcing Organization in Pune is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Officer - Indirect Sourcing to join our team. This role is ideal for professionals with strong procurement experience, particularly in indirect categories, and a passion for driving sourcing excellence.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete sourcing process for both local and imported suppliers—from Purchase Requisition (PR) to Purchase Order (PO), material receipt, and supplier payment.
- Validate PR content and documentation to ensure timely PO release, aligned with agreed SLAs/KPIs.
- Handle indirect procurement categories (products & services), evaluate supplier quotes, prepare comparisons, and negotiate best rates based on market norms and internal guidelines.
- Ensure procurement decisions meet quality, cost, and delivery standards while adhering to ethical sourcing practices.
- Create PRs based on requests from Global China PIC and define supplier source lists in S4 HANA.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders in your assigned area.
- Participate in CTC (Close to Customer) meetings and provide updates on PO, material, and service delivery status.
- Address performance gaps with suppliers and coordinate with internal teams for resolution.
- Support vendor onboarding and master data management in SRM and ERP systems, ensuring compliance with global and local standards.
- Lead and support audits (ISO, financial, taxation) and maintain departmental documentation.
- Provide timely MIS reports and assist in strategic sourcing projects with category managers.
- Collaborate with the order processing team and vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies.

Additional Responsibilities
- In-depth knowledge of indirect procurement practices, especially in the mining sector.
- Experience with indirect categories such as logistics, HR, and MRO is a plus.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (M3/SAP); exposure to other ERP platforms is an advantage.
- Familiarity with legal contract terms for both domestic and international suppliers.
- Strong understanding of sourcing activities, supplier management, and indent validation.

Skills & Experience

5 to 6 years for Diploma & 2 to 4 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on indirect sourcing.

Graduate/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Proficiency in MS Office 365 and data analysis.

Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).

Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
