**Full job description**
**Job Overview**: The Bookkeeper is responsible for managing the financial records manually of the company, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reports are generated in a timely manner in Record Register. The role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency in accounting software.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Record Financial Transactions**:
- Maintain and update financial records, including invoices, receipts, payments, and bank statements in the Register
- Record day-to-day financial transactions in accounting spreadsheets.
- **Accounts Payable & Receivable**:
- Process and track accounts payable (money the business owes).
- Handle accounts receivable (money owed to the business).
- Ensure timely payments and collections to keep cash flow steady.
- Investigate discrepancies and resolve any issues.
- **Prepare Financial Reports**:
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to management based on reports.
- **Maintain Filing Systems**:
- Organize and maintain paper financial records in accordance with company policies and regulations.
- Ensure that all financial data is easily accessible for audits or future reference.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or equivalent (associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred).
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in maintaining accounting records manually.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
**Preferred Skills**:
- Experience in managing financial records for small businesses or startups
**Working Conditions**:
- Full-time position.
- Office-based or remote, depending on the company.
Ex-Services man or Retired persons can also preferred to this profile.
