**Job Title**: English Teacher (Grades 9-12) - IB/IGCSE Curriculum

**Location**: Kodigehalli, Sahakar Nagar
**Position Type**: Full-Time

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging English lessons aligned with the **Cambridge IGCSE** and/or **IB MYP/DP** curriculum standards.
- Teach English Language and Literature to students in **Grades 9 through 12**, ensuring differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.
- Develop unit plans, assessments, and teaching resources in line with curriculum expectations and school standards.
- Guide students in **extended writing**, **textual analysis**, and **oral presentations**, preparing them for IGCSE and/or IB assessments.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and achievement.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and curriculum planners to develop interdisciplinary learning experiences.
- Organize or support co-curricular activities such as literary clubs, writing competitions, and public speaking events.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives, teacher training sessions, and professional development activities.
- Support student well-being and act as a mentor or advisor where needed.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- **Bachelor’s degree** in English, English Literature, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- **B.Ed. or equivalent teaching certification**.
- Minimum **3 years of teaching experience** in an international school or similar setup, with specific experience teaching **IGCSE and/or IB (MYP/DP)** English.
- Familiarity with the assessment and grading practices of the IB and IGCSE boards.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
- Proficiency in integrating technology into the classroom.
