**Indira Gandhi Hospital** is an ambitious project of the Delhi Government with 1241 beds and the use of state-of-the-art technology in its construction and operations. It is an eco-friendly and green building as per national standards. IGH is a tertiary care Hospital and it’s all bed are MGPS (Oxygen) supported. It has been envisaged as a Super Speciality Hospital and an upcoming Medical College to provide Quality Care, Education, Training and Research.

**Location: IGH, **Dwarka Sec-9, New** Delhi.**

**What you would do**

S/he shall
- Visit the area to understand the culture and practices of people; physical conditions of the area (terrain and weather conditions and communications). This will help in updating the NMS for planning the MDT programme.
- Liase with local people (informal/formal leaders) for explaining the policies and methodology to improve acceptance among the public.
- Plan the case detection activities in consultation with NMS conforming to the operational guidelines namely Mass Survey, School Survey and Contact Survey.
- Plan health education activities supporting the case detection work.
- Identify DDPs (Drug delivery points) based on case load and accessibility to treatment points.
- Clinically examine the patients and prepare patients’ card and advice necessary treatment under the supervision of NMS/MO
- Regularly visit patients’ houses to ensure compliance.
- Provide prevention of disability and care of deformity services.
- Educate the patient and his family members about the facts of the disease.
- Maintain required registers and submit timely reports and returns.
- Safeguard all the equipment’s supplied for the programme activities.
- Liaise with general health staff working in his/her area.
- Perform any other specific job assigned by the superiors.

**Eligibility Criteria**:

- Should be a certified Para Medical Worker with at least 6 Months to 1 year experience in Leprosy in a reputed NGO or Health sector.
- Good communication and counselling skills.
- Proficiency in Hindi and local language.

**Remuneration : Rs. 30,000 per month**

Employee will be entitled to contribute to Employee’s Provident Fund Scheme, Group Gratuity Scheme under LIC and covered under Mediclaim and Personal Accident Insurance.
