Job Description: Graphic Designer - Publishing Industry

**About the Role**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Design and Layout Creation**:

- Develop innovative and visually appealing designs for textbooks, digital banners, flyers, and other marketing materials.
- Self-generate layouts and designs, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and project requirements.
- **Software Expertise**:

- Proficient use of design tools like Adobe InDesign, CorelDRAW, and Photoshop for creating high-quality designs.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint to produce supplemental materials and presentations.
- **Print and Digital Knowledge**:

- Design print layouts with a strong understanding of typography, color management, and pre-press processes.
- Adapt designs for digital outputs, ensuring cross-platform compatibility and visual consistency.
- **Project Management**:

- Collaborate with editorial, marketing, and production teams to ensure timely delivery of projects.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining quality and adhering to deadlines.
- **Innovation and Trends**:

- Stay updated with design trends and publishing industry standards to bring fresh ideas and techniques to projects.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- **Technical Expertise**: Complete mastery of Adobe InDesign, CorelDRAW, Photoshop, MS Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong understanding of print production processes and digital design principles.
- Ability to work independently, with excellent attention to detail and a creative mindset.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- A strong portfolio showcasing a range of print and digital design projects, especially within the publishing sector.
