**Overview**:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented SEO Intern to join our digital marketing team. The SEO Intern will assist in executing SEO strategies, performing keyword research, analyzing competitor sites, and helping to improve our website’s search engine visibility. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn about SEO and digital marketing and is looking to build a career in this field.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Keyword Research & Analysis**:

- Conduct keyword research to identify content opportunities.
- Analyze keywords for relevance and performance potential.
- **On-Page SEO Optimization**:

- Assist in optimizing web pages for target keywords.
- Implement basic on-page SEO elements like meta tags, headers, image alt text, and internal linking.
- **Content Optimization**:

- Support the creation and optimization of SEO-friendly content.
- Identify and implement content updates to improve search rankings.
- **Technical SEO**:

- Conduct website audits to identify technical SEO issues.
- Help with implementing technical SEO recommendations, including improving site speed, crawlability, and mobile-friendliness.
- **Competitor Analysis**:

- Analyze competitor websites for content, backlink strategies, and keyword targeting.
- Monitor competitor rankings and identify strategies to improve our own rankings.
- **Link Building & Outreach**:

- Assist in researching and building quality backlinks.
- Help with outreach to build partnerships and gather links.
- **Performance Tracking & Reporting**:

- Use Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO tools (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush) to monitor and report on website performance.
- Prepare monthly reports on SEO performance and suggest areas for improvement.
- **Stay Updated**:

- Keep up-to-date with the latest SEO and industry trends.
- Attend team meetings and contribute to discussions on strategy and project planning.

**Requirements**:

- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of SEO and search engine algorithms.
- Familiarity with SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console) is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive and positive attitude with a willingness to learn.

**Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for SEO Intern**
- **Keyword Ranking Improvement**:

- Measure the improvement in rankings for target keywords the intern is involved in optimizing.
- Target: Improvement in rankings for 10-15 keywords per month.
- **Content Optimization Completion**:

- Track the number of content pieces optimized for SEO.
- Target: Completion of on-page optimization for 5-10 content pieces per month.
- **Technical SEO Issues Resolved**:

- Count of identified and resolved technical SEO issues.
- Target: Resolution of 10-15 minor technical issues per month.
- **Backlink Acquisition**:

- Track the number of new quality backlinks acquired through outreach efforts.
- Target: Acquisition of 3-5 quality backlinks per month.
- **Site Traffic Growth**:

- Measure organic traffic growth in areas where the intern contributed.
- Target: 5-10% increase in organic traffic to optimized pages over 3-6 months.
- **Competitor Analysis and Reporting**:

- Quality and frequency of competitor analysis reports.
- Target: Monthly competitor reports with actionable insights.
- **SEO Tool Proficiency**:

- Level of proficiency in tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other SEO software.
- Target: Demonstrated basic to intermediate proficiency by the end of the internship.
- **Learning and Development Goals**:

- Measure participation in learning sessions or courses related to SEO.
- Target: Completion of 2-3 SEO courses or certifications by the end of the internship.
