Quality Control Officer - Food & Agricultural Products (Export Standards)

**Responsibilities**:

- **Quality Inspection & Assessment**:

- Conduct regular inspections of fresh produce (fruits, vegetables, grains, etc.) to ensure they meet national and international quality standards.
- Evaluate product attributes such as size, color, ripeness, shelf life, pest damage, and contamination levels.
- Identify and segregate sub-standard or non-export-grade items from batches.
- **Export Quality Compliance**:

- Possess in-depth knowledge of the quality and grading standards required by various international markets (e.g., EU, USA, Middle East, Asia).
- Ensure products comply with export regulations, certifications (e.g., phytosanitary, GLOBALG.A.P.), and documentation requirements.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with food safety standards (e.g., FSSAI, APEDA, USDA).
- **Documentation & Record Keeping**:

- Maintain accurate records of inspection reports, quality checks, and product traceability.
- Assist in preparing export documentation such as quality certificates, inspection reports, and packaging lists.
- **Coordination with Export Team**:

- Work closely with logistics and export departments to ensure smooth shipment of approved consignments.
- Assist in the handling of customs and port inspections by providing accurate product quality details.
- **Continuous Improvement & Training**:

- Monitor post-harvest handling and suggest improvements to maintain quality during storage and transportation.
- Provide training to farmers, procurement agents, and packing staff on quality requirements for export.
- **Market-Specific Expertise**:

- Keep up to date with changing quality and import regulations of different countries.
- Offer recommendations to the procurement team on market-specific quality demand to improve sourcing decisions.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
