**About the role**:
We are looking for an IT Solutions Architect who will be a key leader in our Digital Commerce and commercial architecture space, with immediate focus on our Digital Commerce business capabilities and solutions (SAP Commerce Cloud platform). This role will report directly into the IT Director, Sales Enablement, and will be responsible for the systems and technologies within our Digital & eCommerce landscape, shaping the strategic direction in line with our roadmap.

**Your responsibilities include**:

- Establish strategic IT solution architecture vision, roadmap, and principles for our Digital Commerce platform; Participate and continuously improve architecture governance processes
- Designs & documents flexible, scalable, and robust architecture for the commercial enterprise, with focus on Digital Commerce capabilities
- Able to define the system landscape, to identify gaps between current and desired end-states (capability assessment), and deliver a solution
- Identifies problem areas (process / technical), recommends solutions, and influences direction
- Leads across cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, overall end-to-end process, and positive streamlined user experience
- Serves as the bridge between the functional analysts and technical developers to transform and develop requirements into designs, development approaches, and implementation
- Reviews & approves design solutions that best meet business needs, with focus on innovation
- Develops a data strategy and a conceptual data model to meet end user needs
- Presents architecture options & recommendations including configuration vs. customization
- Maintains high level of awareness and understanding of existing and emerging (Digital Commerce) technologies, as well as industry issues, to effectively match them.
- Manages own work time and priorities under aggressive timelines and budgets
- Leverages knowledge of the enterprise technology space: languages, frameworks, techniques, and industry trends
- Aligns Commercial Architecture with Enterprise Architecture direction

**What we're looking for**:
**Basic Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, or related field required
- 10+ years of combined IT Analyst, Developer, Tech Lead or Architect experience
- Proven ability to stay aware of current trends and technical advancements, and share learnings
- Experience working in large and complex enterprise project environments
- Proven experience working in a regulated environment with quality systems which includes strong documentation skills.
- Experience within the SAP Commerce Cloud, SAP, and SFDC technical ecosystem
- Experience with eCommerce
- Ability to articulate and present different points-of-views on various technologies
- Experience with Agile delivery practices, preferably in a lead role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills
- Proven leadership in partnering with external vendors and business partners on projects
- Ability to lead on-shore/off-shore teams in multiple cross-functional initiatives toward goals
- Ability to work in a fast paced, self-directed, action-oriented environment
- Well organized and capable of managing multiple priorities

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Master's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Experience in life science or other regulated industry
