**Responsibilities**:
1. The DBA will be responsible for handling operational tasks including Hardware, Architecture, configuration, Integration, and maintaining mission-critical Production PostgreSQL databases.

2. Managing users and permissions, including adding new users and removing inactive accounts

3. Estimate PostgreSQL database capacities; develop methods for monitoring database capacity and usage.

4. Backup - restoration, point in time database recovery

5. Setup streaming replication and logical replication solutions.

6. Problem analysis and solution implementation Undertake database upgrades, migrations and other administrative projects.

7. Responsible for database performance review to ensure queries are optimized and tuned to perform efficiently prior to production release.

8. Responsible for Query tuning and preventative maintenance.

9. Experience of PostgreSQL administration on Linux

10. Linux Shell Scripting

11. Performing regular scheduled maintenance on the database server, such as vacuum analysis on large tables to remove obsolete data

12. Monitoring database performance to identify slowdowns or potential issues
