Job Summary:
As a Database Administrator (DBA), he/she needs to play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the organization's SQL database, Postgres systems. Primary responsibility will be to ensure the availability, security, performance, and integrity of the SQL and Postgres databases. This role requires a strong understanding of database architecture, SQL query optimization, backup and recovery strategies, and a keen eye for detail to proactively address potential issues. You will work closely with developers, system administrators, and other IT professionals to support database-related tasks and projects.

Key Requirements & Responsibilities
- 9+ years of experience in SQL Database Administration
- Should Also have fair experience in Postgres Database Administration
- Install, configure, and maintain SQL/Postgres Server databases.
- Monitor database performance, identify and resolve performance issues, and optimize queries for efficiency.
- Perform regular database backups and implement disaster recovery procedures.
- Implement and maintain database security measures, including user access, roles, and permissions.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and security best practices.
- Assist in data modeling and schema design.
- Set up monitoring tools to track database performance and respond to alerts in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, such as connectivity problems, data corruption, and failed jobs.
- Analyze query performance and optimize SQL queries and indexes for improved efficiency.
- Implement best practices to enhance database performance.
- Configure and manage database replication, clustering, and failover solutions to ensure high availability.
- Develop and test disaster recovery plans to minimize data loss and downtime.
- Plan and execute database software upgrades and patches to ensure security and stability.
- Test and validate upgrades in development and staging environments.
- Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline routine database tasks and maintenance.
- Provide training and support to developers and end-users on database-related topics.
- Assist in resolving database-related support tickets and user issues.

Added Advantage
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or equivalent are a plus.
