A professional Database Administrator (DBA) will keep the database up and running

smoothly 24/7. The goal is to provide a seamless flow of information throughout the

company, considering both backend data structure and frontend accessibility for end
- users.

Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain the performance of database servers.
- Develop processes for optimizing database security.
- Set and maintain database standards.
- Manage database access.
- Optimize database SQL Queries.
- Performance tuning of database systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors.
- Recommend and implement emerging database technologies.
- Create and manage database reports, visualizations, and dashboards.
- Create automation for repeating database tasks.
- Be available for on-call support as needed.
- Build database systems of high availability and quality depending on each end

user’s specialised role.
- Design and implement database in accordance to end users information needs and

views.
- Define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in an appropriate

format, and in a timely manner.
- Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data.

- Minimise database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query

responses.
- Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users.
- Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards.
- Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and

integrity.

Skills Set
- Strong command of Postgres SQL and Postgres SQL server tools.
- Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance

monitoring standards.
- Understanding of relational and dimensional data modelling.
- PowerShell and Unix shell scripting skills.
- Familiarity with SSAS, SSIS, SSRS.
- Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Impeccable attention to detail.
- Proven working experience as a Database Administrator.
- Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL.
- Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding..
- Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third party tools.
- Familiarity with programming languages API.
- Problem solving skills and ability to think algorithmically.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Three plus years of experience in database administration, information technology,

database architecture, or a related field.
- MCSE/MCSA certifications preferred.
- Linux certifications preferred.
- Experience with Linux and Windows Server environments.
- Extensive experience with database technologies (PostgreSQL).
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure) a plus.

**Job Types**: Contractual / Temporary, Freelance
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: ₹324,988.97 - ₹1,341,108.46 per year
