1. Knowledge of Different Oracle Releases
2. Installation of Oracle Software, Silent Install, Binary copying from existing server, re-linking of Oracle Home
3. Database Creation, manual and through Database Configuration Assistant
4. Create / Alter / Drop database objects viz. Tablespaces, Schemas, tables, views, indexes, Materialized Views, Procedures, functions, packages.
5. Setting Archivelog / No archivelog mode
6. Knowledge of different type of Indexes (Normal, Bitmap, Function Based, Composite indexes)
7. Database Backup / Recovery through Export, Import, RMAN
8. Use of utilities like TOAD, SQL Developer, SQL Loader etc.
9. Making Tablespaces / Data Files Online / Offline.
10. Use of Data Dictionaries, gather different statistics (table / system / dictionary / database)
11. Startup and Shutting Down database / listener,
12. Different Open Mode of databases, viz, mount, read only
13. Database Reorganization
15. Database Upgrade / Migration
16. Modification of Instance Parameters in Init.ora / spfiles
17. Acquaintance of using Oracle Support, creation of SRs etc.
18. Knowledge of Basic Unix / Linux command viz. cp, mv, rm, mkdir, chown, chmod, vi editor etc
19. Knowledge of Windows
20. Performance Tuning (Query Tuning & Instance Tuning)
21. Generation and Interpretation of AWR and ADDM Reports
