ob Description: Psychological Counsellor

**Location**: Emerald International School, Nelamangala, Bangalore
**Experience Required**: 3-5 years in psychological counselling, with a focus on school students

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Counselling Services**:

- Provide individual and group counselling sessions to students addressing emotional, academic, and social issues.
- Assist students in coping with stress, anxiety, peer pressure, and other challenges affecting their mental well-being.
- Identify students needing additional support and work on intervention plans tailored to their needs.
- **Student Support**:

- Promote positive mental health among students through awareness campaigns and programs.
- Conduct workshops on life skills, stress management, and communication.
- Collaborate with teachers to identify students struggling with behavioral or academic challenges.
- **Parental Guidance**:

- Counsel parents to help them understand and support their children better.
- Provide feedback and strategies to parents regarding students' mental and emotional well-being.
- **Teacher Collaboration**:

- Guide teachers on managing classroom behavior and supporting students with special needs.
- Assist in creating a positive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- **Administrative Tasks**:

- Maintain detailed records of counselling sessions while ensuring confidentiality.
- Prepare monthly and annual reports on counselling activities.
- Organize and participate in events or activities promoting mental health awareness.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**:

- **Educational Background**:

- Master's degree in Psychology or related field.
- Certification in counselling is highly desirable.
- **Experience**:

- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in counselling school students.
- **Skills**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to connect with students across different age groups.
- Proficient in assessing psychological issues and providing effective solutions.
- Empathy, patience, and understanding towards students’ challenges.
- **Other Requirements**:

- Immediate joiner preferred.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
- Familiarity with child psychology and developmental milestones.

**Work Environment**:
