Job Title: Surface Grinding Technician

Reports to: Supervisor/Lead Technician, Manufacturing/Maintenance

Location: Karl Marx Sarani Rd, Netaji Subhas Dock, Garden Reach, Kolkata, West Bengal 700043

Job Summary:
Perform surface grinding operations to achieve precise dimensions, finishes, and surface quality on metal parts, components, and structures, ensuring high-quality output and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
Grinding Operations:
1. Set up and operate surface grinding machines (horizontal/vertical).

2. Grind flat surfaces, angles, and contours on metal parts.

3. Achieve precise dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishes.

Quality Control:
1. Inspect ground surfaces for defects, scratches, or irregularities.

2. Measure parts using precision instruments (calipers, micrometers).

3. Ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.

Machine Maintenance:
1. Perform routine maintenance on grinding machines.

2. Replace worn-out abrasives, dress grinding wheels.

3. Troubleshoot machine issues, report to supervisors.

Safety and Housekeeping:
1. Follow safety protocols, wear personal protective equipment (PPE).

2. Maintain clean, organized workspace.

3. Adhere to environmental regulations.

**Requirements**:
**Education**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical certification or apprenticeship in grinding/machining.

**Skills**:

- Manual dexterity, attention to detail.
- Understanding of grinding processes, materials, and tolerances.
- Basic math skills, measurement accuracy.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
