**Biology Teacher Job Description (Classes 5-10, CBSE)**

**Position**: Biology Teacher
**Grade Levels**: 5 to 10

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Teaching**:

- Deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons in Biology as per the CBSE curriculum.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that adhere to CBSE guidelines and foster student understanding.
- Conduct practicals and experiments to enhance hands-on learning.
- **Student Assessment**:

- Evaluate student performance through assignments, tests, and projects.
- Provide regular feedback to students and parents about academic progress.
- **Curriculum Development**:

- Keep updated with CBSE syllabus changes and implement necessary modifications.
- **Classroom Management**:

- Maintain a disciplined, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Encourage student participation and address individual learning needs.
- **Extra-Curricular Activities**:

- Organize science fairs, workshops, and biology-related co-curricular activities.
- Mentor students for external competitions and Olympiads.
- **Professional Development**:

- Attend training programs, seminars, and workshops to stay updated on the latest teaching techniques and CBSE policies.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Life Sciences, or a related field (essential).
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) or equivalent teaching certification (mandatory).
- **Experience**:

- 1-3 years of teaching experience, preferably in a CBSE school.
- **Skills**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use technology in teaching (smart boards, online learning platforms, etc.).
- **Desirable Traits**:

- Passionate about teaching and mentoring young minds.
- Patience, creativity, and a student-centric approach.

**Work Environment and Schedule**:

- Full-time position with working hours aligned to school timings.
- Involves periodic parent-teacher meetings, after-school programs, and occasional weekend events.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹10,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 28 per week
