Infosec & Compliance Advisor - Remote

We're looking for an experienced, talented security and compliance advisor. This is an opportunity to work with the software foundation of Akamai's ControlCenter, our customer-facing portal. Our technologies include a web-based microservice platform that supports UI and API. access to hundreds of services. All of Akamai's services depend on our software and therefore security and reliability are paramount.

**Partner with the best**

You'll collaborate closely with internal teams who develop products and services for our customers. You'll understand compliance requirements and interpret them for Akamai systems. You'll be responsible for guiding teams to build compliant systems and help explain these to auditors. You'll collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and learn how our systems work.

As an InfoSec & Compliance Advisor, you will be responsible for:

- Ensuring that Systems are compliant to industry standards and ready for audit
- Understanding key technology systems, interpreting security requirements and articulating
how Akamai meet those requirements
- Working closely with key stakeholders to identify, document, and communicate issues related to security assurance activities
- Working comfortably with ambiguity and tackling multiple, complex analysis projects smoothly
- Identifying areas for process and tooling improvements.
- Understanding security requirements in sufficient detail to predict and communicate potential issues

To be successful in this role you will:

- Understand security standards (e.g. PCI DSS, SOC, ISO, FedRAMP, CSA, NIST/DoD frameworks)
- Have real desire to improve information security
- Possess the ability to advise customers on architectures to securely meet business needs, industry standards, local policies
- Understand how the Internet and it's networks and protocols work. (DNS and routing, HTTP, TCP/IP, web architecture)
